FARNBOROUGH TOWN FC

Farnborough Town Football Club spent the 2006/07 season in Administration following a winding up petition from HMRC in the summer of 2006, the club at this point had debts (including directors loans) nearing one million pounds.

Due to a technicality the HMRC refused the club permission to enter into a new CVA despite a buyer being found and finally in May 2007 the accepted defeat. The club were relegated two levels down the Non-League pyramid. Tony Theo and the consortium of businessmen he fronted then bought the club out of liquidation and fans selected Farnborough FC as the name of the reformed club.
